Hazrat Syed Ali Yadullahi alias Makki Badey Miyan went on Haj pilgrimage in 1216 Hijri. He stayed in Makkah and Madina for a few years and preached the Mahdavia faith there. He wrote this book during his stay for the benefit of the Arabs.

In 1287 Hijri, a Sunni scholar, Moulvi Zaman Khan wrote a book against the Mahdavia beliefs titled Hadiya-e Mahdavia. He raised a lot of objections and twisted the truth to suit his narrative against Hazrat Mahdi Mau'ood AS and the Mahdavia faith. Hazrat Syed Nusrath RH wrote this book Kuhl-ul Jawahir in reply to Zaman Khan's objection. This book has been a very popular book in the community and has been a great reference for scholars.

During the time of Bandagi Miyan Shah Dilawer RZ, a Sunni scholar Ali Muttaqi wrote a book against the Mahdavia faith titled Ar-Radd. Bandagi Miyan Abdul Malik Sujawandi RH, the Khalifa of Bandagi Miyan Shah Dilawer RZ, wrote a reply and called the book Siraj-ul-Absar.
